Holy Communion

Faith Formation

In the Lutheran faith we have two sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion. Making your Holy Communion in the fourth grade is extremely important not only in being a part of St. Luke’s, but also a part of the larger Christian faith. The whole Sunday School year for fourth graders is built to prepare them to receive this sacrament.

The information for students is as follows: attend Sunday school on a regular basis, fulfill the family service requirement, attend FHC classes in the month leading up to First Holy Communion.

Family Service Requirement: As a family, you will assist the Altar Guild in reading the church for the Sunday Worship. This includes but is not limited to, picking up garbage inside the church, wiping down the window sills and pews, refilling the pencils and supplies in the backs of each pew.

This work can be completed in 30m time and will take place on Tuesday nights.
